Fiona Speed Designs is an Identifiably Cornish Lifestyle collection of sustainable unique clothing and homewares designed by the artist and designer Fiona Speed.

After three years of having a shop and studio at 4 Quay Street in Falmouth Fiona took the decision in October 2021 to close the bricks and mortar part of the business and instead to work from home and sell directly via the website.

It will give Fiona more time to paint and illustrate her children's story books about Dubby the Cornish Tortoise.

 

"I am inspired by Maritime Falmouth and my Cornish Heritage.

 

My work encapsulates my love of the sea, sailing and swimming.

I love being able to walk across Swanpool and Gyllyngvase beaches where I swim all year and in the summer months I sail my little classic sailing boat " Betty Blue" in the Carrick Roads.

Sets me up for a day of designing and oil painting. I paint under the name Fiona Florence Speed

I created the character Dubby the Cornish Tortoise back in 2013. It started as a pun on my surname.
